(May 15) CtSvsDBE Results Thread

Tomorrow is the Clan War vs DBE. We'll need at least four players for the 1v1s and two of those 4 can play in the 2v2. First here's some info everyone should read:

For anyone who has never played in a CW, this is how it works:

First when its time, we all meet up at the clan war channel DBEvsCtS. Both Clan leaders will set their line ups. When they're done with that, everyone will know who they're suppose to play. Then you find your opponent and go play him.

Its a Bo3, first map Python, Then loser picks any current MOTW (Neo Medusa 2.0, Wuthering Heights, Longinus, Andromeda, God's Garden). SAVE EVERY REPLAY, even if you have auto-replaysave on. Some times it doesn't save for some reason. When you're done with your match. Go to the clan war page:

Report your wins/losses and upload the replays. Its gonna ask for the score and then whether you won or lost. So if you went 2-0, 2-1, 1-2, or 0-2 report it and upload the replays.

Also, about observers: You can have observers if you and your opponent both agree its ok. But, this is important, UNVISION ANY OBS FROM OTHER TEAM. Ask your opponent to do the same thing for obs from out team. This prevents any obs from giving unfair info to a player. Also if it lags obs have to leave.

Now this CW will be very hard. GPS was a clan similar to us, mostly D players and a few good Cs. DBE on the other hand.....just look at their team page: http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/teams/3804.html

Scary huh? So what are we gonna do? We're gonna show up and try our best! Some of you have told me that you would like to reach B- some day. I would like to reach B- too. This is how its done, you play vs good players, get your ass kicked, find the will and motivation to train harder, only to get your ass kicked again, and again, and again. Do that over and over and you'll find yourself getting better little by little. So expect more CWs vs teams like this. Maybe we'll steal a few games!

We tasted sweet victory against GPS and now we taste bitter defeat against DBE. Remember this brutal loss. In order to taste victory again we must all train hard together. You now know how strong the competition is. Expect more battles against clans like DBE in the future!!

Congratz to FuS for winning one for us Thanks to everyone that played and CtS-PateyJ, CtS-pnkgrl, CtS-Lupus, and CtS-Gaucho for showing up to act as extras in case we needed them. Also, I plan to have an A team and a B team for CWs. A-team is our best players while B-team is our best D+ players. I'll plan CWs for each team. Everyone get ready for J4F, we'll be going against them on Monday!!
