How To Play in CtS Clan Wars

How To Play In CtS Clan Wars:

We have two CW Teams, A-Team https://cts-team.forumotion.net/clan-discussion-f2/cts-a-team-roster-t19.htm and B-Team https://cts-team.forumotion.net/clan-discussion-f2/cts-b-team-roster-t20.htm. A-Team is for our best players and B-Team is for our up and coming players to get some experience. Each week there is 1-2 CWs for each team.

At the beginning of each week, there will be a thread in the News Section about upcoming CWs. If you want to play in any CWs, post in that thread, or talk to me, CtS-SiegeTank (send me PM or talk to me when I'm online). You can also check our team page, http://www.iccup.com/teams/8157.html, for upcoming CWs. CWs are listed under the "Ladder Clan Wars" section.

A day or two before a CW will be played, there will be a "CW Results" thread about it in the News Section. Use this to discuss the upcoming CW and check it for any info that comes up before the CW. After the CW is done, the results will be edited in with screenshots and a brief summary of how it went.

Each CW gets its own CW Page at the Iccup website(click on "Details"), with info about the CW. Bookmark this page if you plan to come to the CW. The main things you'll need to worry about is the channel where both teams will meet, and the time the CW will take place for you. Iccup uses CET time (Central Europe Time). Below is a map of timezones. Find your country and Poland's/Germany's time zone to figure out at what time it will take place for you.

Currently, the format we use for CWs is Four 1v1s and One 2v2, all Bo3. So it's a Best of 5. If we win 3 of those matches we win the CW (we will upgrade to a Best of 7 with 5 1v1s and 2 2v2s when we get more active). So for every CW, we'll need at least four players. Four for the 1v1s and two of those 4 can play in the 2v2. Also a few extras would be nice, just in case. Anyone who can make it please show up in case we need you.

What To Do When The CW Starts:
When its time for the CW, we all meet up at the clan war channel. Both Clan leaders will set their line ups. When they're done with that, everyone will know who they're suppose to play by looking at the CW Page. Then you find your opponent and go play him.

The Maps we play on are decided by the leaders of both teams. Sometimes we agree to a whole map pool. Some times we just agree on the first map, and then loser picks after. If you and your opponent want to play different maps, that's okay. Do it, if you think it will give YOU the best chances to win.

SAVE EVERY REPLAY, even if you have auto-replaysave on. Some times it doesn't save for some reason. When you're done with your match. Go to the clan war page for the CW you are playing in.
Report your wins/losses and upload the replays. Its gonna ask for the score and then whether you won or lost. So if you went 2-0, 2-1, 1-2, or 0-2 report it and upload the replays.

Also, about observers: You can have observers if you and your opponent both agree its okay. But, this is important, UNVISION ANY OBS FROM OTHER TEAM. Ask your opponent to do the same thing for obs from out team. This prevents any obs from giving unfair info to a player. Also if it lags obs have to leave.

Rules When Playing CWs:
1. You must have a CtS tag account to play in our CWs. Make one and make a request to join the team with it.
2. If you promise to show up for the CW, please show up. If something comes up and you can't make it, try to let us know if you can. If you promise to show and and have no real excuse, you may be kicked off the team. So if you are not exactly sure if you can make it to a CW, just tell us that MAYBE you can make it, and you will be listed as an extra. If you are an extra and can't show, there is no problem.
3. Don't BM the other team during a CW. Even if they are BM to you. You can be BM all you want except to CtS members and teams CtS is playing CWs against. If you BM during Clan Wars you will give us a bad name and no one will want to CW us. You will be kicked off the team if you do this.
